Desired Previous Job Experience: * Past work record reflects dependability and integrity. * Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling * Experience in grocery retail and customer service. Minimum Position Qualifications: * Willing and available to work weekends and holidays. * Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills that engage our customers and associates. * Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials and bulletins. * Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization. * Personal initiative and follow through to completion. * Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment. Essential Job Functions: * Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. * Gather and empty trash. * Service, clean, and supply restrooms. * Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. * Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. * Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. * Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. * Steam-clean or shampoo carpets. * Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. * Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. * Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. * Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. * Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals. * Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. * Maintain equipment and facilities properly and safely in accordance with company policies and procedures. * Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal laws. * Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
